Hydro One is Ontario’s largest electricity transmission and distribution service provider. We distribute electricity across Ontario to nearly 1.5 million predominantly rural customers, or approximately 26% of the total number of customers in Ontario. In November 2015, we became a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Our history dates back over 110 years to 1906 when the Ontario Legislature passed the Power Commission Act establishing the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario (HEPC).
