Calgary Foundation 2024 Black Chambers Onward Onyx Queer Award

The Calgary Black Chambers Onward Onyx Queer Award was established by Calgary Black Chambers, inspired by Heather Campbell, a member of Calgary Black Chambers, in celebration of her birthday. Calgary Black Chambers is a non-profit organization, consisting of individuals working to support diversity in and around Calgary, and to foster the growth of Black culture in Calgary. The Calgary Black Chambers serves as mentors and advocates, fostering the growth of great students and future professionals. Its four pillars are: Mentorship, Scholarship, Fellowship and Advocacy.

Contributing to the vision of a community free from homophobia and transphobia, the Calgary Black Chambers Onward Onyx Queer Award was established to affirm, empower, and support Black 2SLGBTQIA+ students to live their lives authentically.
