Indigenous women from Mi’kma’ki, Nunatsiavut or Atlantic Canada attending a post-secondary institution in Canada, and who have completed the equivalent of one year of post-secondary education in the previous two years are invited to apply.
The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia is a charitable giving facilitator. We help donors make sustainable, charitable impact on causes they care about by endowing funds (investing money for the long-term, with the interest earned used for charitable purposes), managing donation programs, and convening conversations that make a positive difference in our communities. Awards range from $500 to $2,000. Typically there will be at least one scholarship awarded annually; however, the donor reserves the right to give this scholarship on a more or less frequent basis as income levels and CFNS permit.
