These bursaries are open to students who are entering on a full-time basis any post-secondary educational institution such as a university, college or another institute of higher learning:

  • Dependents of GSU members in good standing.

About Government Services Union

The Government Services Union (GSU) was created at a merger convention in August 1999. We were previously known as Union of Public Works Employees and Supply and Services Union. Our members are organized into 24 Locals across the country, representing most of the workers at Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), as well as employees of Shared Services Canada, and the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM). Aim and Benefits of Government Services Union A.F. Wood, Jim Williams and Bonnie Robichaud GSU Bursaries

All three bursaries are worth $2,000 each


Requirements for Government Services Union A.F. Wood, Jim Williams and Bonnie Robichaud GSU Bursaries Qualification

To qualify, you must also meet the following requirements:

  • Academic standing of 70% or greater in subjects required for entrance to a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
  • Proof of registration in a full-time program at a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
  • An essay of 800 words on the topic listed in the burseries package.

 



Interview date, Process and Venue for Government Services Union A.F. Wood, Jim Williams and Bonnie Robichaud GSU Bursaries

The successful candidates will be selected by the GSU Union Recognition Standing Committee. This committee will review all applications that meet the requirements listed above and are received before the deadline. Bursaries will be awarded based on a combination of academics, financial need and essay.
