About Government Services Union
The Government Services Union (GSU) was created at a merger convention in August 1999. We were previously known as Union of Public Works Employees and Supply and Services Union.
Our members are organized into 24 Locals across the country, representing most of the workers at Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), as well as employees of Shared Services Canada, and the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM).

Requirements for Government Services Union Bob Haywood Memorial Bursary 2023 Qualification
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstration of academic proficiency ‘C+’ average or higher.
- Description of financial needs and/or personal challenges
- Proof of registration in a full-time or part-time program at a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
- An essay of 800 words on the topic listed in the bursary package.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Government Services Union Bob Haywood Memorial Bursary 2023
- This bursary is open to a GSU member in good standing attending part-time or full time post-secondary education.
- The successful candidate will be selected by the GSU Union Recognition Standing Committee.
- This committee will review all applications that meet the requirements listed above and are received before the deadline.
- The bursary will be awarded based on a combination of academics, financial need and essay.
