Recipients of KPU's Major Entrance Scholarships are selected through a competitive process by a selection committee. To be eligible, prospective KPU students should have applied for and have been accepted to KPU. While generally, scholarship eligibility is based primarily on academic achievement, in the case of Major Entrance Scholarships, other factors such as personal statement, demonstrated community involvement and volunteerism as evidenced by references are also considered.

Aim and Benefits of Kwantlen Polytechnic University Indigenous Entrance Scholarship
Spring Semester Intake:
- One award ($7,500) $7,500 split over 2 terms in first year (Spring and Fall semesters only)
Requirements for Kwantlen Polytechnic University Indigenous Entrance Scholarship Qualification
- Must identify as Aboriginal, First Nations, Metis or Inuit
- 80% average in English Studies 12 and 3 other academic Grade 12 courses; or whenever necessary, averages will be calculated using final Gr.11 marks and interim Gr. 12
- Or the equivalent of a 3.67 transfer GPA on a minimum of 24 transferable university credits
- Demonstrated leadership, community involvement and volunteerism

Conditions
- Enrollment in a minimum of 12 undergraduate credits per semester
- Good academic standing with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for the duration of the award period
