The CIMF is offering one $2,000 award to an outstanding second year undergraduate student in a mining engineering program in Canada. Applications must be submitted by October 30. The scholarship recipient will be announced in December

Requirements for McGill University Stantec Mining Engineering Scholarship Qualification

Recipient who is a permanent resident of Canada is selected on the basis of eligibility and must be enrolled full time in their second year of a mining engineering undergraduate degree program.

Qualifications

  • Applicants will be judged on academic achievement, and a commitment to a career in mining engineering.


Documents Required for Application

Application Requirements

Complete application packages must be submitted by October 30 and include:

  • The application form
  • A transcript of your previous year’s academic studies
  • Confirmation of enrollment in a mining engineering or minerals program (photo of your student ID)
  • Essay describing what attracted you to the mining industry and what you will do to advance the industry in the future (maximum 400 words)
  • Resume
