Requirements for McKinsey and Company Canada Black Student Leadership Award Qualification

The McKinsey Black Student Leadership Award is sponsored by our Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver offices.

To be eligible to apply for the award, you should:

• identify as Black
• be a current student working towards a undergraduate degree at a Canadian University, with an anticipated graduation date of 2026 or later.

Documents Required for Application

 Before submitting your application, please make sure you have uploaded all the relevant attachments - we will not be able to process your application without the required CV, essay, and transcripts.

 

• Your CV (1-2 pages max) listing most recent education information, including grades, and confirmed future education plans, including anticipated start and graduation dates. Your CV should include work experience, including part time jobs and volunteer roles, as well as extracurricular activities and achievements.
• A brief essay (250 words maximum) about your proudest or most interesting achievement that displays your leadership skills. Please include the obstacles you overcame to reach this achievement and why it is important to you.
• Academic transcripts from your current degree

In October, we will be in touch with you regarding your application. Selected applicants will be invited to a short phone interview to hear more about their experience and accomplishments, and to answer any questions they may have about McKinsey. Award recipients will be notified by October 2024.
