Established in 2022 by Dr. Michael Brent (MD '83) and Mrs. Janice Brent. To be granted to students entering the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine who identify as Indigenous and demonstrate financial need. This bursary is tenable for an additional 2 years provided the recipient remains a full-time student in the Michael G. Degroote School of Medicine and continues to demonstrate financial need.
McMaster University is a public research university in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The main McMaster campus is on 121 hectares of land near the residential neighbourhoods of Ainslie Wood and Westdale, adjacent to the Royal Botanical Gardens
2 awards of $60k each ($20k annually for 3 years) until the fund is depleted. The funding is intended to support one student recipient at a time.
