Métis Nation of Alberta Art L’Hirondelle Dedicated Service Scholarship 2024

The Art L’Hirondelle Dedicated Service Scholarship is available to Métis students enrolled in construction or trades programs. The scholarship will be awarded at the Delia Gray Memorial Gala, 
held in November each year. The recipients are expected to receive their award  in person that evening. The recipients will be chosen by a selection committee  of representatives from Métis Urban Housing, the L’Hirondelle family, and MNA  representatives. A tax receipt (T4A) will be forwarded to the recipient.

About Metis Nation of Alberta

Since 1928, the Otipemisiwak Métis Government has governed the Métis within Alberta. In 1928, Alberta Métis began organized to advance Métis self-determination and self-government in the province, leading to the creation of the Métis Nation of Alberta. In November 2022, Métis citizens overwhelmingly ratified a constitution to establish the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. Aim and Benefits of Métis Nation of Alberta  Art L’Hirondelle Dedicated Service Scholarship

$1,000 will be awarded to the selected recipient of this scholarship

Requirements for Métis Nation of Alberta  Art L’Hirondelle Dedicated Service Scholarship Qualification

1. Students must include completed application form, reference letter, and a written section describing qualifications
2. Students must provide proof of registration, as well as details of the post-secondary program and/or courses in which they are enrolled.
3. Nominations must include the completed nomination form, as well as a letter from the nominator.
