Red Deer Polytechnic is proud to announce a new bursary?available to students in select courses participating in practicums this academic year. The Red Deer Polytechnic Accessible Work-integrated Learning (WIL) Bursary program supports students engaged in Mandatory Professional Practice (MPP- work placements required to complete their education) in eligible programs.
Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) is located in?Red Deer, Alberta, halfway between the major centres of Calgary and Edmonton. The Accessible WIL bursary provides students identifying as belonging to an equity deserving group with $1000 to reduce barriers to their participation in WIL experiences.
Included in this bursary program is an opportunity for students placed 60 km or further away (roundtrip) from their home to receive a $500 travel stipend. This travel bursary is open to all students in eligible programs regardless of identity and is meant to alleviate some of the financial strain of having to travel for placement.
