The Anne Whitaker Memorial Award was originally established to assist Toronto Metropolitan Indigenous nursing graduates who are pursuing post-graduate studies in nursing or for Indigenous nursing graduates enrolled in the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program (PHCNP) at Toronto Metropolitan University. The Award was revised in November 2007 to provide financial assistance and to recognize the academic achievement of a full-time or part-time student enrolled in the Post Diploma Degree Program, Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program (PHCNP) Certificate, Master of Nursing or the Collaborative Nursing Degree Program in the School of Nursing.
