To be considered for UBC Indigenous awards, you must meet all the following requirements:
To start your application, click the green "register" button at the top of this page. If you already have a SurveyMonkey account, you can simply login. Click "view program" and select the International Community Achievement Award. Click the green "check eligibility" button at the top of this page to confirm you are an international student. Proceed to the application by clicking "apply" at the top of this page. Title the application in the format: Last Name, First Name. Follow the on screen instructions and verify your email address. Applicants will be unable to submit their application without submitting the email verification. You may also check the email account you used for a verification link. The applicant is required to complete the online application, and then invite two referees to complete an online recommendation form as part of the application. The referees should be an on- or off-campus supervisor or employer with whom you volunteer or work. The referees must be able to comment on one of your extra-curricular/volunteer activities. The activities may be volunteer or paid work. If it is paid work, the contributions should be above and beyond the regular job description. All parties should have their sections of the application form completed by the deadline. The applicant is responsible for submitting the complete online application package after the referees have submitted their recommendations form. Applicants should advise their referees that they will have to complete their recommendations form with enough time to allow the applicant to log back in and submit the full package. Once your referees have provided references, log back into your account, and find the "Request Two References" task. Mark this section as complete. You may then click the green "submit" button. Once your application is submitted, no changes may be made.
