University of Guelph Alan Lyons Family Soils Courses


Requirements for University of Guelph Alan Lyons Family Soils Qualification

  • Selection will be based on the quality of research proposal and academic excellence as demonstrated by publications, conference presentations, and applied field experience. Recipients are required to submit an annual summary of their research.
  • Students entering in the Winter, Summer, or Fall of the award year (i.e. students would be in semesters 1, 2, or 3 at the time the award will be distributed) into a MSc or Doctoral graduate program offered by the School of Environmental Sciences or Department of Plant Agriculture, who plan to undertake research in sustainable soil management (e.g., cover crops), and have demonstrated experience in this area.
