The Alban D'Amours Scholarship Program on Cooperation emerged from the Alban D'Amours Support Fund for University Teaching Activities on Cooperation. It aims to recognize the excellence of graduate students whose study projects focus on cooperation, cooperatives, and their innovations. It exists thanks to the generosity of Mr. Alban d'Amours, Desjardins, and the Fund's donors.

Aim and Benefits of University of Laval Alban-D'Amours Scholarship on Cooperation
- 1 scholarship of $8,000 (at the master's level: one admission scholarship worth $8,000 OR two retention scholarships worth $4,000 each)
- 1 scholarship of $15,000 (at the doctoral level: 1 admission scholarship ($5,000 per year))
Requirements for University of Laval Alban-D'Amours Scholarship on Cooperation Qualification
- Be registered full-time in a 2nd or 3rd cycle program offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), or any other faculty of Laval University, provided that the student's project corresponds to the study and research themes of the competition.
- Have a study project related to the theme of cooperation. Examples include (non-exhaustive list):
- the process of building cooperative communities;
- the contribution of the cooperative model to the development of society and communities;
- the analysis of new ways of cooperating which claim to be based on the principles and values ??of the commons approach, participatory and representative democracy, economic democracy, giving, reciprocity, mutual aid, care, or which appear exemplary in other respects;
- analysis of the cooperative movement's capacity to evolve and innovate without giving up its specificity, in particular through the integration of digital technologies into its activities;
- any other subject that the student will be able to defend as relevant to cooperation.
- Become a student member of CLEASC and actively participate in the activities organized by the chair

Selection criteria
- Quality of academic record (grades, honors or distinctions, prizes and scholarships obtained, other academic distinctions) – 35%
- Quality of the proposed study project and relevance to the theme of cooperation – 35%
- Quality of the path (previous scientific experiences and achievements, significant work or volunteer experiences, demonstration of leadership in one's environment or social or community commitment) – 30%
