This master's scholarship is aimed at a second cycle student who stands out for the quality of his academic record and who undertakes the writing of a dissertation whose subject is in line with the research axes of the Chair :
- writing in law
- interpretation of sources of law
- the Civil Code in the Quebec legal order
- the structure of law and the organization of legal information

Requirements for University of Laval Louis-Philippe-Pigeon Chair of Legal Writing Qualification
- Have an excellent academic record;
- Write a dissertation on a subject that falls within the research areas of the Louis-Philippe-Pigeon Chair in Legal Writing;
- Have completed and successfully completed the dissertation presentation workshop (if this workshop is planned to be carried out during the current session, the scholarship may be awarded conditionally on the successful completion of this workshop)
- Full-time registration (12 credits) in the master's program in winter 2024.
It is not mandatory to have completed the master's program to be eligible for the scholarship. The level of advancement of the candidates will however be taken into consideration by the selection committee.

The application file must contain:
- A letter of approximately one and a half pages on the subject of your dissertation, your motivation for pursuing this research project as well as the schedule for your work;
- The list of funding sources already obtained during the last school year;
- Baccalaureate and master's transcripts;
- A resume.
Complete files must be submitted no later than March 24, 2024 .
Any incomplete file or file received after the period indicated as the deadline will be rejected.
