The University of Prince Edward Island is a public university in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and the only university in the province. Founded in 1969, the enabling legislation is the University Act, R.S.P.E.I 2000. Students will be reviewed and selected based on artistic and cultural capabilities and interests; academic achievement; and future potential to contribute to PEI. Recipients will be awarded a scholarship of $5,000 for the first year of studies and may be renewable for three further years of study. For the renewable portion of this award, students must maintain an average of 75% in their first year of study, and 80% in their subsequent three years of study while carrying a full-time course load of 30 semester hours over the academic year (September to May).
Awarded to graduates of a PEI high school who demonstrate potential to contribute to the long term development of the province; in keeping with Wyatt's belief in the value of the arts, recipients must demonstrate an aptitude or interest in the cultural or artistic dimension of life. Renewable with 75% in first year and 80% in second and third year while taking full course load (30 semester hours SeptÐApril).
The Wanda Wyatt Scholarships will be awarded to students who graduate from a PEI high school and demonstrate the potential to contribute to the long-term development of the province. In keeping with Wyatt’s belief in the value of the arts, recipients must demonstrate an aptitude for, and interest in, the cultural and artistic dimension of life.
