This award has been established to provide support to an Aboriginal student who is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Health Studies. Academic capability as well as developmental experience in related activities including leadership potential will be considered.

Aim and Benefits of University of Regina Aboriginal Kinesiology and Health Studies Award
$1,000 will be awarded to the reccipient of this award
Requirements for University of Regina Aboriginal Kinesiology and Health Studies Award Qualification
Awarded to a University of Regina undergraduate or graduate student, who meets the following criteria:
- Aboriginal student (self-declared);
- Enrolled in one of the academic undergraduate or graduate degree programs in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies;
- Must demonstrate through their application leadership involvement, previous and current, in recreation, sport, physical activity or related activities;
- Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours or more in a semester;
- Less than six credit hours if writing or defending a thesis, or registration in practicum or internship classes; and
- Minimum CGPA of 70%
Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Regina Aboriginal Kinesiology and Health Studies Award
Award preference will be given in the following order:
- A graduate student;
- An entering student - undergraduate;
- An undergraduate student.
