The University of Saskatchewan Harvey Graduate Scholarship 2025 is open to students entering or continuing studies in a Master's or Doctoral program whose thesis research contributes to the development of agriculture in Saskatchewan as determined by the Award Committee.

The University of Saskatchewan (U of S, or USask) is a Canadian public research university, founded on March 19, 1907, and located on the east side of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. University of Saskatchewan Harvey Graduate Scholarship


Aim and Benefits of University of Saskatchewan Harvey Graduate Scholarship

Approx. $16,000 (The specific annual amount will be determined by the Selection Committee, based on the financial resources available.) This scholarship may be renewable at the discretion of the Awards Committee.


Requirements for University of Saskatchewan Harvey Graduate Scholarship Qualification

  • Only students entering their first, second or third year of graduate study (Master's or Doctoral) are eligible to apply for the Harvey Graduate Scholarship. Students entering their fourth year of studies are not eligible for this award.
  • Master’s students are eligible to hold up to a maximum of two years of the Harvey scholarship in the first three years of their graduate program. Master’s students cannot hold this scholarship beyond the 36th month of their graduate program.
  • PhD students are eligible to hold up to a maximum of three years of the Harvey scholarship funding in the first four years of their program. PhD students cannot hold this scholarship beyond the 48th month of their graduate program.
  • Students applying must have a minimum grade point average of 80%.
  • This award is renewable if the eligibility requirements are met.

Interested and qualified? Go to University of Saskatchewan on www.surveymonkey.ca to apply

Apply online. Please include the following:

  • a letter describing how you are eligible for this scholarship (maximum 1 page), and an outline (maximum 1 page) describing the proposed research program
  • a letter of recommendation from your thesis supervisor or an individual familiar with your academic work
  • photocopies of official transcripts from all secondary institutions attended (unofficial USask transcripts will be accepted)

You will also be required to provide information on up to 10 refereed publications and/or 10 presentations.
