The Nortel Institute Undergraduate Scholarship, with an approximate value of up to $5,000, is awarded to undergraduate students in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto Mississauga and University of Toronto Scarborough. Candidates are considered on the basis of financial need, academic merit (minimum CGPA of 3.0) and an essay.
Candidates are also required to demonstrate active involvement in one of the followings:
- research, coursework or work experience involving micro/nanofabrication;
- a proposal for potential student summer research project or capstone project involving micro/nanofabrication.

Requirements for University of Toronto Nortel Institute Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
Recipient must
- be a Canadian citizen /permanent resident and resident of Ontario;
- be an undergraduate student in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto Mississauga or University of Toronto Scarborough and
- demonstrate financial need and academic merit
