W2RO is very excited to announce the launch of our Scholarship Program! The Scholarship Program is designed to attract the next generation of student to pursue the waste and recycling industry.
Waste to Resource Ontario (W2RO) is the voice of the waste, recycling, and resource management sector in Ontario. W2RO represents over 240 organizations across the province including private sector companies, public sector municipalities, and organizations and individuals involved in the waste management sector in Ontario. Together they manager over 85% of the province’s waste and 90% of the provinces recycling. For the inaugural year, W2RO will be providing five (5) scholarships in the amount of $2000.
To be considered for the program, applicants must be enrolled in a college, university, or trades program that will translate into work in the waste and recycling sector. Applicants interested in applying need to be Canadian residents enrolled in an accredited Canadian trade school, college, or university.
