Aim and Benefits of 4-H Canada Campbellbrook Fund Trade Scholarship

In partnership with the Campbellbrook Fund, 4-H Canada is proud to offer five (5) scholarships valued at $1,000 each.

The scholarship aims to support senior 4-H youth from coast-to-coast who intend to pursue a post-secondary education in a trade-based program or apprenticeship, and who plan to apply their education in a career that supports the agriculture sector.


Requirements for 4-H Canada Campbellbrook Fund Trade Scholarship Qualification

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by January 1, 2025 and a current 4-H member in good standing.
  • Applicants must be Canadian residents in their final year of high school, CEGEP or a postsecondary student planning to attend a provincially accredited and/or recognized trade program, trade school or participating in an accredited and/or recognized apprenticeship program in September 2025.
  • Applicants must be pursuing an education in a trade-based program or apprenticeship program with the intent to pursue a career that supports the agriculture sector following the completion of their post-secondary studies


Interview date, Process and Venue for 4-H Canada Campbellbrook Fund Trade Scholarship

  • Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and judged on the following criteria:
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
  • Quality of the essay submitted
  • 4-H involvement (including number of years, positions held and projects completed)
  • Community involvement
  • Post-secondary plans (letter of offer or acceptance into eligible program)
  • Career goals that demonstrate plans to pursue a career in the skilled trades that supports the agriculture sector
  • Confirmation of current good standing in a Canadian 4-H clu

Documents Required for Application

Applicants must complete the online application at apply.4-h-canada.ca and include the following:
Answers to all questions in the application.

  • A letter of offer or acceptance to a full-time trade-based program from a provincially accredited and/or recognized trade school or proof of registration for an accredited and/or recognized apprenticeship program for September 2025.
  • A summary of their 4-H and community involvement, and their plans for post-secondary studies.
  • A 500-word essay response to the following question: Please explain how the trades industry can support the agriculture sector as it continues to pivot towards more sustainable practices. How would you like to use your education to support this?

Applicants must grant permission to Campbellbrook Fund and 4-H Canada to use their name, photograph, province of residence, institution, and area of study in publications and online communication channels that promote the Campbellbrook Fund 4-H Canada Trade Scholarship program. The consent form will be in the 4-H Canada online application
