The Muthada Boora Family Award is an annual scholarship established by Baljinder (Bal) Singh Boora, a self-made immigrant and local businessman in Lethbridge, Alberta. The award honors his late wife, Jasvir Kaur Boora, and reflects his commitment to education and community.?

$1,000 minimum will be given to the recipient of the award
Requirements for University of Lethbridge Muthada Boora Family Award Qualification
- To apply for this award you must fully complete the general application including the Liberal Education essay (you must complete the community involvement section to access this question).
- Students who are entering or continuing in any undergraduate degree program. Preference will be given to Indigenous students.
- Must have demonstrated academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.00 for transfer/continuing students and 70% for high school students) and commitment to community service and academic/career, and/or entrepreneurial objectives.
- A minimum 500 word essay on Liberal Education is required. Payable upon confirmation of full-time enrolment in classes at the UofL in the Fall and Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award.
